One Simple Kiss

The world stopped spinning for just a moment
When our lips touched everything else grew dormant
Nothing else mattered it was just you and me
The world stopped spinning and i could see

That kiss left me breathless as i looked into your eyes
I felt the spark and then came the butterflies
I've never felt this way before
With all these butterflies my heart could soar

I don't know if you felt it too
I don't know if you even knew
The way you looked at me, Time started
When our lips departed.

Your eyes looked at me and told me one thing,
I was thinking it too, you're my everything!
I hope what i thought is right
Should i tell you? I just might..

Tell you how you stopped time in its place
By one simple kiss my heart starts to race
Butterflies overtake me and i begin to smile
I become speechless and can't talk for a while

We sit there and just look at each other
Silently saying we care so much for one another
Breathless and filled with a thousand butterflies
Speechless and happy, what a surprise

I never thought that one simple kiss
Could stop time in it's place, could bring so much bliss

2 A.M.

It has now struck 2am
And I'm still wide awake
This feeling of missing you
I just can't seem to shake

Unable to fall asleep
I'm feeling all out of sorts
Sitting staring at the clock
With you fixed in my thoughts

Only a few hours now
Until I see you again
But the way the time is moving
The night is never going to end

I've tried listening to music
Tried counting countless sheep
I have tried most everything
To get myself to sleep

Nothing ever seems to work
I'll just have to wait it out
The time will pass, the sun will rise
Of that I have no doubt

It's just a game of patience
A lesson I need to do
Cos when the nights completed
My reward is seeing you!

Life started anew....

There is something pure about watching life start anew! Creation is God's greatest achievement. How a plant starts with something as inane as a seed. It has such a tough outer shell and no appendages. But then it germinates, there is a tender shoot where there was nothing just a while ago. Where did it come from? It couldn't fit in there!! Could it??

The shoot grows longer and stronger. A plant emerges from where there was none. And it in turn starts to flower. Some flowers bloom only for a while. And then they are gone. Forever. It kind of makes you think. What was the point? If it had to go so soon then why did it bloom at all? Because life had a purpose for it. Nature has a purpose for it. It helps spread the seed for the next generation. For life to carry on. It also reminds us that nothing is permanent. That nothing lasts forever. That all things, no matter how beautiful, all meet the same end some day.

But all things serve a higher purpose. In the case of the flower, we know what that purpose is. But many times, in the case of people, we may never know what that purpose is. But ours is not to question. We all serve a higher purpose. A purpose which fits into the grand scheme of things. A scheme we cannot see. So we should all try to live life to the fullest, but live it in such a way, that we may discover a piece of that scheme that we are meant for. A piece where we fit in. That my friends is what heaven is all about!

The picture above is of a flower that bloomed on one on my plants. A few hours ago....it was bud. A few hours later....it was gone. But it got me thinking. And this is the product.

Key

The key to my heart,
Forgotten, its vague memory long since have part,
I'd like to know, if you don't mind,
What it looked like, and what kind?

When you stole it was it golden?
Did it shine in the sun?
Set with sparkling jewels,
and links strengthened as to never be undone?

Or was it just plain and simple?
Cold to the touch,
Silver and indistinguishable,
Looks never mattering much.

Was it a skeleton key?
Entrapment of nameless pain,
A symbol of grieving and,
Happiness's ultimate bane

Did it weigh in your pocket?
And play with your head?
Was its presence unbearable,
Keeping you awake in your bed?

Would it whisper in your ear?
A craving for turn of the lock,
Could you ignore its ceaseless cry
And its confident, gloating mock?

Is that why you stand before me?
Empty arms outstretched you see,
Asking yourself why oh why,
You threw away this key...

Prelude to Night

There is a lesson in this calamity of gold,
Though the struggling orb takes no solace,
Igniting against dusk one final onslaught bold.
Battalions of royal, red, sepia, pink,
Wash outward against night’s ally storm,
Engaging grey and violet, blue and black,
Until the sky bursts in a vanity of monstrous form.
Corpses of the fallen swath mountains of darkness
With their daunting wraiths of decaying hue
Until no more resistance can be fathomed…
Yet one last stand is bravely combusted anew.
I recognize despite an all devouring rout
This star will not go gentle into this death of light.
With grudging admiration for such heroic plight,
Humbled by this ageless battle’s evocative might.
I indulge in the stirring beauty of this sight,
Even as I celebrate my allegiance to mother night.

Seasons of Love

A new bud opened fresh and young
I saw the new life that Spring had begun
Love touched my heart as the soft Spring air
A gentle breeze whispered of the life we'd share
Spring a time of living never brought a love so true
And I had never lived a day before I met you
You opened my heart and filled my mind
Ours is true love, one hard to find

A full bloomed flower smells sweet and light
Summer makes everything warm and bright
Love made my heart shine as the June sun
A sparkling knowledge that you are the one
All the summer flowers that are in full bloom
Can't reach the heights of my great love for you
All of the sunshine will never come near
To the happiness I feel when you are here

In Autumn the leaves turn to bright fire gold
Everything withers and dies or gets old
The fire in my heart's as the gold of the trees
And Fall brings you in every cool breeze
Our love won't wither as Autumn leaves
Even when we're old, our love won't be!
In our hearts we'll forever be young
Just as the Springtime when love had begun

Winter comes softly with frost and snow
White is a blanket wherever we go
Just as a soft blanket, love keeps us both warm
Sheltering us from all of Life's harm
The coldness will never keep us apart
Only the happiness will live in our hearts
If as the Winter we grow old and die
I'll be with you always 'til the Spring comes by

Joyful Pain

Another night and here I am
Sitting in the dark again
Another day goes by
and I'm still asking why,
Why do I feel
the same constant pain?
Is it my mind, thoughts
or my heart
Is it an illusion, delusion
or confusion
I'm not certain
Though certain of
the reason and cause
The rose falls apart
and dies without rain
You see the pain I feel is joyful
yet leaves a burning sensation
deep within
Not a mistake, a regrettable fun
or unforgiven sin
Not a hidden secret
of a fruitless past abandoned
and left behind like snake's skin
Not lost hopes, or shattered
dreams never came to be
Not lost time or efforts
of running for the win
It's the pain of an aching lover
Who suffers every hour,
yet keeps it in!

Reality

You make my heart flutter
My pulse starts to race.
My cheeks start to glow
Seeing your beautiful face.

My eyes they sparkle
I can feel myself falling.
Into the sound
Of your voice calling.

My skin starts to tingle
From my eye comes a tear.
There's a knot in my throat
Knowing you are near.

My head begins to throb
My chest is getting tight.
Knowing this is a dream
That will end in morning light.

With the morning comes
Reality, You are no longer here.
All of this is just a dream
Confirming all my fears.

bROKEN

Broken hearts, love's deceit,
pieces fall down to my feet.
Broken promises, love's a lie,
puddles form from tears I cry.
Broken dreams, love's illusion,
sorrowed cause of your intrusion.
Broken hope, love's a game,
doesn't last, ends the same.
Broken sleep, love's the cause,
digs at me with sharpened claws.
Broken spirit, love of sorrow,
stolen now is my tomorrow.
Broken life, love is lost,
Broken now and that's the cost.

How I See You

Ever wondered how would looking at your loved one feel when you couldn't see? Try putting yourself in a dark room with someone and then try describing to them what they look like to you!

Eyes that don't see
see the things that you do
do you wish me to describe
describe how I see you...

Skin so delicate
delicate as a rose
rose that will blossom
blossom as it grows.

Hair moving gently
gently you tease
tease...softly whispering
whispering summer breeze.

Voice so melodic
melodic singing birds
birds, such sweet tunes
tunes enchant like your words.

Dress...rustling
rustling, swirling...trees bare
bare as leaves fall
fall, the colour of your hair.

Your perfume..sweet fragrance
fragrance morning dewdrops bring
bring back many memories
memories of spring.

...Yes I am blind
blind, yet I see
see you in my mind
mind filled with glee

Love is....

What was the sound of love? The taste . . . the texture?
Pale brown leaves, the texture of coarse words, fell from the even scratchier trees. The wind sounded like screams around us and we had to cover our ears to ever slightly muffle it. A hand goes out to catch the rain that was falling, but the fingertips looked nothing like your own. You wonder again, what is the texture of love?

Sighing gently, you accidentally stir the wind around you, and the leaves fall quicker. Was it (love) the same as the texture of lips, or more like the texture of a kiss?

You touch your lips tenderly, a little more lost in thought then you intended to be. Beautiful were the thoughts you encountered, but couldn't possibly be true; thoughts such as love didn't have a taste, texture, or sound, only a meaning of existence.

But everything has a thought, a texture; a moment where they could be played upon and tasted. You don't much like the thought of this feeling being nothing but a meaning that could barely begin to be described.
You contemplate more. Love certainly had a taste - the taste of a kiss. Love certainly had a texture - the texture of touch. And love certainly had a sound - the sound of your voice. So, you contemplate to yourself further, how could love be merely a feeling, and nothing more, if it has all these things?

Perhaps love wasn't a feeling at all, you consider, but a moment in time where everything is perfect. Yes, that was it, it was time. Love was time, not an emotion, and time was life, and love is what we live for. So, love is the reason for living, most definitely.

Yes, love wasn't a feeling at all, for one could live without malice or failure, but one finds it difficult to live without love.

You shake your head in a smile. How smart you really were.

A Time to Come

I stare into what seems to be
A void of emptiness,
My mind paints pictures seen before
They pull me to digress.

Before me stretches endless white
Bleak and lacking form,
But I can sense beneath it all
Feelings soft and warm.

My ears can faintly hear the words
Written by my heart,
That time has laid here, dormant now
Which sorrow took apart.

My eyes can see another time
A time I remember now,
That time we stood side by side
And made a simple vow.

To always hold within our heart
A place where we would stay,
Tethered tightly soul to soul
Waiting for the day.

When time would once more let us walk
Along our path as one,
Soothed and guided by the rays
Of a never setting sun.

Unseen except by you and me
Each of these signs remain,
Reminding us our time will come
To walk the path again.

Queensryche - Silent Lucidity

This is my inspiration....hope to write and think like this some day. Click here to view the video.

Hush now, don't you cry
Wipe away the teardrop from your eye
You're lying safe in bed
It was all a bad dream
Spinning in your head
Your mind tricked you to feel the pain
Of someone close to you leaving the game of life
So here it is, another chance
Wide awake you face the day
Your dream is over... or has it just begun?

There's a place I like to hide
A doorway that I run through in the night
Relax child, you were there
But only didn't realize it and you were scared
It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the years
And ride the whims of your mind
Commanding in another world
Suddenly you hear and see
This magic new dimension

I- will be watching over you
I- am gonna help you see it through
I- will protect you in the night
I- am smiling next to you, in Silent Lucidity

[spoken during solo]
(Visualize your dream)
(Record it in the present tense)
(Put it into a permanent form)
(If you persist in your efforts)
(You can achieve dream control)
(Dream control)
(How's that then, better?)
(Hug me)

If you open your mind for me
You won't rely on open eyes to see
The walls you built within
Come tumbling down, and a new world will begin
Living twice at once you learn
You're safe from the pain in the dream domain
A soul set free to fly
A round trip journey in your head
Master of illusion, can you realize
Your dream's alive, you can be the guide but...

I- will be watching over you
I- am gonna help to see it through
I- will protect you in the night
I- am smiling next to you....
